Material and part specification
Identify the grade or supplier data sheet, geometry, dimensions and required tolerances. State whether the inquiry concerns an existing part or a drawing-based requirement.
A useful project quote starts with a defined part and quantity. Bring the geometry, known material requirements and delivery needs together so you can compare prices on the same basis.
A drawing or dimensioned description identifies what is being quoted. Include the revision, quantity for each part and any grade, coating or magnetization already specified.
Nike Industrial Trading handles product and supply inquiries. Final price, availability and order conditions need confirmation for your request.
Prepare a price inquiryThese are the inputs to clarify for the proposed product. They do not define a universal pricing formula.
Identify the grade or supplier data sheet, geometry, dimensions and required tolerances. State whether the inquiry concerns an existing part or a drawing-based requirement.
Identify holes, special features, coating and magnetization requirements. Ask for any proposed deviations to be recorded against your drawing.
Separate sample requirements from the main order and give the quantity for each part. If delivery is split into batches, include the intended schedule.
Prepare a bulk purchase inquiryInclude required inspection information, packaging, destination and target date. Ask which services and shipment costs are included in the quotation.
Before comparing totals, check the specification and commercial scope in each quotation. A lower total can reflect different included items.
| Compare | Check in each quotation |
|---|---|
| Part and revision | The same drawing, dimensions, tolerances, grade, finish and magnetization; list any exceptions. |
| Quantity basis | Quantity per part and batch; separate sample and order quantities. |
| Currency and unit | Currency, price per piece or other stated unit, and the corresponding total quantity. |
| Included charges | Any separate tooling, setup, inspection, documentation or packing charges, if applicable. |
| Delivery and taxes | Destination, delivery terms, freight and tax treatment, including items excluded from the total. |
| Timing and validity | Quote expiry, sample arrangements, production timing and transport timing as separately stated. |
A weight-based figure and a finished-part quote need a common product basis before they can be compared. A raw-material or magnet-blank index does not, by itself, price a finished, coated and magnetized part delivered to your destination.
Ask what product state, grade, unit, date, taxes and delivery terms a price refers to.
